MAYKER Pure Polyglutamic Acid Powder 0.70 OZ, High Molecular Weight | Cosmetic Humectant for DIY Hydrating Serums

Polyglutamic Acid (PGA), in the form of Sodium Polyglutamate, is a water soluble biopolymer derived from natural fermentation. Known for its exceptional moisture retention and skin hydrating ability, PGA forms an invisible hydration film on the skin to enhance smoothness and elasticity. Ideal for simple, water based DIY serums with a lightweight, non-gel finish.

Suggested Use (measuring scoop inside the bag, about 0.8g per level scoop of the PGA powder)

Recommended Use Level: 2%-3%

EX.: To make 50ml Polyglutamic Acid serum (3% solution):

1. Pour 48.5ml distilled water into a clean container.

2. Sprinkle 1.5g(about 2 level scoops) of PGA powder evenly over the water's surface. DO NOT stir immediately - let the powder sit on the water for 15 mins to allow absorption.

3. After the waiting period, stir slowly for a few minutes, PGA may begin to form soft, elastic strands that stick to the scoop, this is normal and due to its film-forming nature.

4. Cover the container, place it in refrigerator, and let sit for 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally.

5. The result is a clear, watery, slightly viscous hydrating serum.
